For more than 200 years, the mineralogical collections of Mines Paris – PSL have been among the most complete and spectacular in the world in the Hôtel de Vendôme. They contain some 100,000 samples, 4,000 of which are displayed in the showcase, representing about 2,900 mineral species. Heir to the former collections of the Royal School of Mines, the mineralogy collection represents a precious inventory of the geological diversity of our planet.
